Bridging the Opportunity Gap
Motor City STEAM brings hands-on STEAM education to students and designs programs that connect them with mentors and industry partners, turning curiosity into careers.
Our Story
Motor City STEAM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation of innovators, creators, and problem solvers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).
Founded in 2016 and based in Detroit, we bridge the opportunity gap by giving historically underrepresented students access to hands-on STEAM education, mentorship, and industry partners that open doors to STEAM careers.
Our Impact
Motor City STEAM is helping transform our community by giving students access to the hands-on STEAM education, mentors, and real-world experiences that inspire them to pursue STEAM careers. This year, we are bringing STEAM kits to approximately 3,500 DPSCD 7th graders through Detroit STEAM Day.
